Now in its ninth terrible year, the war in Syria is far from over. Millions of Syrian refugees are either internally displaced or have fled overseas. They leave, often with nothing but their skills, to start a new life. The UK, has so far resettled around 17,000 Syrians, many of whom are now holding down jobs or starting their own businesses.
Clare Williamson traveled to the North of England to meet some of them.
