Lord's to turn red: Strauss and McGrath remember their late wives

As the second test of the Ashes series gets underway, tomorrow will be the
Ruth Strauss Foundation day at Lord’s. Spectators will be asked to wear
red and donate as part of an initiative set up by former England captain
Andrew Strauss, who lost his wife to lung cancer before Christmas.

It’s similar to the Jane McGrath Foundation day in Sydney, where people
are asked to wear pink to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer in
memory of the wife of former Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath.

Both McGrath and Strauss have been speaking to the Â鶹ԼÅÄ’s cricket
correspondent Jonathan Agnew, whose wife is in remission from breast
cancer. McGrath and Strauss spoke about their wives and the foundations
they set up in their names.

You can hear more of that conversation between Glenn McGrath, Andrew
Strauss and Jonathan Agnew on Test Match Special today. You can
download it as a TMS podcast here: https://bbc.in/2uDRVcQ, via Â鶹ԼÅÄ Sounds or your usual podcast app.
