MPs call for life imprisonment for death by dangerous driving
A minister has said he "bitterly regrets" not being able to say when the government will move to raise the maximum penalty for causing death by dangerous driving to life imprisonment.
He was responding to a petition calling for tougher sentences, started by the parents of a little girl killed by a hit-and-run driver. It's been signed by 165,000 people.
