Amazon celebrates its 25th birthday today. The e-commerce firm has made founder Jeff Bezos the richest man in the world. His company generates more money from the internet than any other. But what about his employees?

Nick Strauss worked for Amazon between 1996 and 2001. His tasks included answering calls from customers, writing code, packing books and giving presentations.
