The United States has blamed Iran for attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman. The US says a video shows Iranian special forces removing an unexploded mine from the side of an oil tanker damaged in one of the attacks. However, Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi of Tehran University says the footage proves nothing.
