James always remembers his mum Betty sewing when he was growing up, something she in turn had learnt from her seamstress mother. Betty always made costumes and outfits for James and his brother Andy and when James moved to London he found himself using the skills his mother taught him when making burlesque drag costumes for parties. They came together to discuss their common love of sewing and creativity.
