Gross Negligence and the Financial Ombudsman

Declan Gormley came to On Your Behalf a few months ago when he was scammed out of 20,000 Rand as he was using an ATM in South Africa. Revolut his travel card issuer, said he had been grossly negligent and that he had "not been subject to any extreme threat of violence" and therefore this justified his claim being denied. Declan took his case to the Financial Ombudsman and gave us this update.
