On the Brink of War?
Iran's foreign minister has said he does not believe a war will break out in the region amid concerns over rising tensions with Washington. It comes as Senior US officials hinted this week that President Trump is also against the idea of a conflict. How did we get here? Unease has grown between the two countries since President Trump withdrew from the 2015 international deal which had aimed to ease sanctions in exchange for an end to Iran's nuclear programme. Scott Lucas, Professor of American and Canadian Studies at the University of Birmingham and Dr Sanam Vakil, senior research fellow in the Middle East North Africa Programme of Chatham House discuss.
