Is Greta Thunberg inspiring more people to travel by train?
Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg has made global headlines for her decision to travel everywhere by train. In her home country, Sweden, she’s far from the only one changing her habits. Since the start of the year, the number of passengers using the country’s main rail company has jumped by ten percent - and there’s been a boom in Swedes opting to take more environment-friendly holidays abroad. Train tourist Rebecca explains what lead her to travel by train.
