Why some US students want slavery reparations
Students at Georgetown University in the United States have voted for a plan to pay reparations to the descendants of slaves sold by the institution. The proposal would see all Georgetown undergraduates pay around a fee of around 20 dollars for each semester, which will then be allocated for charitable purposes that benefit the descendants. Most of these people live in Louisiana and Maryland. Jesus Rodriguez a senior at Georgetown University spoke to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Newsday.
