Changes to Brexit deal: what next?
Later today, Parliament in the United Kingdom is expected to vote on Prime Minister Theresa May’s deal.on the divorce between Britain and the European Union. On Monday evening, Mrs May said she had received legally binding assurances that the backstop to prevent a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic would never be permanent. So is this just talk or has something fundamentally changed? Tim Bale Professor of Politics at Queen Mary University of London gives his take on the latest Brexit deal agreement.
