How university structures discriminate against women
Ana Mari Cauce is the first woman president of the University of Washington in Seattle in the US. She says it’s important to remember that universities began as monastic institutions built with men in mind, and she thinks they have been slow to adapt to the presence of women who are dealing with the realities of childcare.
