Sandy Hook mum: Why I forgave my child’s killer

A mother whose son was murdered in the Sandy Hook mass shooting has told ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 5 Live that she has forgiven her child’s killer.

Adam Lanza killed 20 elementary school children, six adults and his mother on 14 December 2012 before turning the gun on himself.

Scarlett Lewis’s six-year-old son Jesse was one of the children who was killed.

Speaking to Emma Barnett, she said β€œit’s easier for me to be angry for him than it is to be angry at him”.

Scarlett is honouring her son through the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement, which educates and encourage individuals to choose loving thoughts over angry thoughts.
