The trade dispute between China and the United States is threatening to undermine the global economy. But on Monday a team of American trade officials are meeting their Chinese counterparts in Beijing. They will aim to broker a deal to end the cycle of tariffs and counter-tariffs on each other's exports. Freya Beamish, the chief Asia Economist at Pantheon Macro, describes the impact the trade war has had so far on China鈥檚 economy.
