But while new venues are springing up, it's estimated that around a third of the UK's small gig spaces have closed in the past decade, according to Music Venue Trust.
Μύ
On Wednesday, 30 January, Steve will be hosting his programme from our ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ studios on Hylton Road before hosting an evening of live music at the Marr's Bar.

A new community project has been launched in Bromsgrove, this week, to help youngsters get into music - for free!
Μύ
The Hub, which is based at Bromsgrove Baptist Church, is being run in partnership with Dragon Music - the team behind Bromsgrove Rock School.
Μύ
After being awarded a grant from the David Morgan Trust, people are now able to play a bunch of new instruments while free tuition is also being offered by professional musicians.
