Sam and Support Dogs
Sam has autism which has had a dramatic effect on his young life. Aged 6 Sam was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression and had to be taken out of school. Difficult months followed as Sam refused to go outside and became more withdrawn. His family were all affected and were desperately looking for ways to help. It was only until they came across Support Dogs who, with funding from Children in Need, train dogs to help children with autism. When Willow arrived she turned Sam’s life around. She is always by his side, keeping him calm and reassured. And this September, aged 8, Sam was finally able to return to school.
