Scarlett, 19, was an A* student when doing her GCSEs, but by the time she reached her A-Levels she could no longer ignore the clinical depression that was impacting her life. She attempted suicide, and spent two months in an acute day centre. Afterwards, she wanted a way to feel 鈥渘ormal鈥� again. She tried cosplay, and it quickly became a favourite hobby - something that allows her to both open up and feel a sense of control. Her favourite character is The Other Mother from Coraline - someone who transforms from being nice to a villain.
