How Harley Quinn cosplay lets people see past Sasha's cerebral palsy
βWhen Iβve had my dark days, cosplay has definitely been a sort of beacon that has broken through the darkness.β Sasha, 29, and partner Van, 36, love cosplay - and not just because it allows them to take on their favourite characters. Sasha has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. Cosplay, she says, is βinclusive of everyone, of every walk of lifeβ and when sheβs in costume people see see past her disability. Van - who helps bring Sashaβs cosplay plans to life - also loves it. It brings him confidence in his appearance and, most importantly, it introduced him to the love of his life.
