RANJIT'S STORY
Ranjit was told in his 30s he was going blind. He now works with a charity that supports people with sight loss and he says not enough British Asians are coming through the doors. He's been working with The Beacon Centre to connect with Asian communities. After a period of isolation when he lost his sight he realised he needed support - which changed his life. He was the first Asian to play in the National Blind Tenpin Bowling League – and now he wants to make sure others are not suffering in silence. He's been speaking to our reporter Ruchi Tandon.
