US and Canada Agree Trade Deal

The new deal covers more than $1tn in trade between the US, Canada and Mexico

The new USMCA covers more than $1tn in trade between the US, Canada and Mexico. Marianne Schneider-Petsinger is an expert on the US and Americas at London research group Chatham House, and offers her assessment of the proposed trade deal. And we get reaction to the agreement from Graham Lloyd, general manager of the Dairy Farmers' Union of Ontario, whose industry in Canada will be affected. Following Friday's earthquake and resulting tsunami in Indonesia, we ask Indonesia's finance minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati whether more could have been done to mitigate the impact of the disaster. We have a report examining how fizzy drinks companies are responding to changing consumer tastes around health issues and plastic packaging. Plus our regular workplace commentator Rumella Dasgupta considers the challenges companies face when operating across multiple time zones.
