Despite sitting bottom of the table, Josh Sims is confident Reading will win soon.

The loan signing from Southampton thinks it's only a matter of time before the effort in games will translate into results.

"It's been tight in every game," Sims told 麻豆约拍 Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "We've not been rolled over which is obviously a good sign.

"We never give up, which is a good spirit to have in a team, there's always that fighting spirit there."

And Sims says he's aware how tough it will be to pick up their first win of the season against Preston on Saturday.

"It's not going to be an easy game.

"We'll do our work on Preston on how we can beat them, and how we can get the best out of the game.

"We'll definitely be going up there fighting."
