Are men doomed?
In humans, if you have two X chromosomes then you are female and if you have an X and a Y chromosome you are male. Professor Jenny Graves from La Trobe University in Australia explains how the Y chromosome is "essentially a broken down X chromosome", containing fewer genes than before.
