Leonard Bernstein: Symphony No 2 'The Age of Anxiety' (Prom 60)

β€˜The Age of Anxiety’ – a musical quest for faith in a broken, post-war world. Inspiration for this symphony came from WH Auden's poem of the same name. Bernstein regarded Auden's poem as "one of the most shattering examples of pure virtuosity in the history of English poetry."
