Long Interview: Pauline Quirke
She's best known as Sharon from the TV sitcom Birds of a Feather, but ten years ago Pauline Quirke decided to set up her own drama academy. Having gone to the Anna Sher Acting School in London, where she attended for just ten pence a lesson, she wanted other children from similar backgrounds to have the same experience. Today there are 170 Pauline Quirke Academies, including Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as a venue at the Edinburgh Fringe where our arts correspondent Pauline McLean met her.
