Will the Beano still be around in the next century?

The comic, which was first published 80 years ago this week, has become part of British culture, as well as gaining readers around the world.

Cartoon characters like Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx and Billy Whizz are popular with children and adults.

John Hendrick, the founder of Big Bang Comics store in Dublin, has been telling the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Russell Padmore about the Beano's place in the publishing industry.
