SUNDAY 15th JULY
Cherry Fair at Brogdale Collections near Faversham
There's cherries galore at Brogdale this Sunday with delicious cherries from the heart of the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale on Sunday 15 July 2018.

Family fun and cherries galore! Get messy in the cherry pie eating contest, the no hands all fun competition is a great chance for all the family to get stuck in and covered in cherry pie. Take the cherry pip spit challenge and see if you can break the whooping 53ft Brogdale record.

Kids can join in the fun with crafts making giant cherries and cherry pom poms, have a go at kids mocktail making and games plus a live magic show, facepainting and the cherry fairy trail. Meet reptiles and animals, including Carlos the friendly angora goat plus don't forget to cheer on your winner in the pig racing.

The South East Orchid Society invites anyone who is interested to a talk with Francis Quesada-Pallares about 'Finding the Wild Orchids of Sulawesi'.

Francis will also bring along ORCHIDS for SALE.

Entry to the meeting is free for all SEOS members. Non-membersare welcome to attend, hear the talk and see our Member's orchids on display in a Table Show - there is a small charge of Β£3 per person / Β£5 per couple

Hawkinge and District Gardeners Society will be holding their annual Summer Show today at the Hawkinge Village Hall. Doors open at 2-30pm. Free admission and members of the public are very welcome.

Tuesday 17th July
Ashford Flower Club will be hosting a floral art demonstration entitled 'Step into Summer', by local demonstrator Billy Esler. It will take place at Furley Hall, Maidstone Road,Ashford TN24 8TX, starting at 7.30pm. All demonstrated arrangements will be raffled at the end of the evening. You could be one of the winners, so come along and meet us - visitors Β£4.00 at the door.

Staplehurst Horticultural Society have a garden visit of Timbers in East Farleigh with Margaret Donelly at 8pm.

HERNE HORTICULTURAL & ROSE SOCIETY have a talk at Herne Institute Hall on Canterbury Road from 7pm called A Rose by any Other Name
It's an evening of Rose information, what is a Hybrid Tea? What is a Floribunda? The difference between a Rambling or Climbing rose and much more including an Illustrated talk by Jacqueline Aviolet

WEDNESDAY 18th JULY
Tyler Hill Gardening Society hold a talk by Jacqui Aviolet about 'Hardy Geraniums' - it takes place at Tyler Hill Memorial Hall from 7.30 in the evening.

Minster and Monkton Horticultural Society are meeting in the Village Hall at Minster in Thanet from 7.30pm - they have One Potato in a bucket weighing followed by a social evening

THURSDAY 19th JULY
Deal and District Flower Club will have Anna Evans, proprietor of 'Anna's Country Flowers', as their guest speaker and demonstrator. Anna grows the flowers herself on her farm in Shottenden, near Canterbury. It's held at The Cleary Hall, Landmark Centre, Deal, CT14 6BB at 7.30 pm. There will a raffle for the finished arrangements. Guests/visitors Β£6.00 on the door - all welcome.

SATURDAY 21st JULY
Ticehurst Gardeners' are holding their Summer Flower Show in Ticehurst Village Hall. Doors open at 2pm and entry is free. There will be teas and cakes and a raffle plus the spectacular show benches.

Ash Horticultural Society's annual Summer Show is held in Ash Village Hall. Show day timings are Exhibitors 9ish to 10.30 am; Judging 10.40 am; Show open to the public 2 pm and Prize giving 3.15pm.

Seal Village Allotment Open Day with Hospice In The Weald / 12.00 pm to 4.30 pm. Entrance by donation.

There will be plants, vegetables and assorted general items for sale as well as refreshments and home-made cakes and biscuits and Raffle.

Activites will include face painting as well as flower arranging and Tai Chi demonstrations. Weather permitting there will also be a falconry demonstration. In addition, there will be guided tours of the site and self-guided tours.

SUNDAY 22nd JULY
Six Platt residents will be opening their gardens to the public from 1-5.30pm in aid of hospice charity ellenor. Entry is Β£5, children free and 50p for a kids' trail. There will be plants for sale, a table top sale and a raffle.Tea and cake will be served at Grottan in Grange Road, where a young harpist will play and cobnut grower Alexander Hunt will tell visitors about his plans to create an edible forest. Please make your way to Orchard Island House, Long Mill Lane, TN15 8NB for registration.
