How Zambia's debt mountain is hurting the economy
Roads, railways and bridges are the structures that societies are built on. But Zambia borrowed too much too quickly to fund its spending spree, and consumers and businesses are now paying the price.
With a cost-cutting drive now underway, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Szu Ping Chan travelled to the Zambian capital, Lusaka, to find out how Zambia's growing public debt has hurt jobs and growth.
