Smart bees can ‘play’ football
Bumblebees can learn to play fetch, score goals and complete other complex tasks for sugary rewards.
Prof Lars Chittka, an ecologist at Queen Mary University of London, UK, thinks this behaviour shows they can foresee the immediate future and understand the outcomes of their actions.
