Raza's London-inspired Desert Island Disco

Raza's spent the last year interning in London. These are the sounds of that year.

Today’s castaway is Raza Khan.

Raza’s Desert Island Disco selections are the tracks that have accompanied his year-long internship here in London. He’s studying up in Leeds, but took a year out to work in the capital city.

His manager, Caroline, always has 6 Music on in the office – and he’s gradually become a big fan of the station. Some of the tracks he selected were even discovered through listening to Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 6 Music.

He says: “I got in touch because my manager (Caroline) listens to Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 6 Music in the office. Over the past year I’ve become a fan and listen to it all the time! There were a lot of artists this year I discovered through 6 music, the most notable probably being Loyle Carner. I finish my year-long internship in a couple of weeks and these tracks represent the genuinely amazing time I’ve had down in London. There’s nothing like living down here and I’ve taken advantage of the music scene, going to more gigs in a year than I have before. It’s spenny but I was only in London for the year so all worth it in the end.
Although I’m going back to Leeds for my final year at uni, I should be back down in London as I’ve got a potential grad job lined up at a record label.â€
