How gardening can be hard on the environment
Plastic is a big and increasing problem with tools and utensils used in gardening increasingly being made out of oil-based non-recyclable material. Since the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Blue Planet programme there has been a move towards reusing and recycling. The Horticultural Trades Association has just launched a new plastic recycling scheme for plant pots and seed trays. Kate Hollsworth talks to Jonathan Bryers, from Gordale Garden Centre on the Wirral.
