Lonely Planet founder speaks to Adrian Goldberg

In 1973, Tony Wheeler and his wife Maureen co-founded Lonely Planet after they travelled overland from London to Australia.

Their first book was called "Across Asia on the Cheap." Since then, Lonely Planet has printed more than 145 million books, in 14 languages.

Tony and Maureen sold their remaining stake in the company in 2011, but they are still passionate travellers.
