'Sexual health crisis across England'
England is continuing to see a rise in syphilis and gonorrhoea, according to official figures on sexually transmitted infections while a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ investigation found some sexual health clinics face closure or reduced hours in council cut backs.
Liam Beattie, head of policy on relationships and sex education at the Terrence Higgins Trust, said there was a "sexual health crisis across England" when he debated funding and services with Times columnist David Aaronovitch and Conservative MP Nadine Dorries.
The government could not provide a guest for this Daily Politics debate but said it had a "strong record" on sexual health.
