‘I would game for 48 hours straight’
‘John’ (not his real name) became addicted to video games in his early 20s when he began playing first person shooters online.
Speaking to 5 live he said gaming “ended up costing me my family.â€
“I’d sit there from Friday night through to Sunday night in front of the computer.â€
Gaming addiction is to be listed as a mental health condition for the first time by the World Health Organisation in their International Classification of Diseases set to be released in June 2018.
