Google Trends shows more searches for the procedure are made in this city than anywhere else in the UK.

Merseyside salon owner Nicole Francis has seen an increase in the number of women requesting lip fillers:

"Girls as young as 16 are wanting them, though obviously we would never do that."

"It's the Kardashians, even if they were to get a post-it, it would sell out immediately,鈥� she added.

The NHS advises lip fillers should be performed by a qualified and reputable practitioner, warning they can cause issues such as swelling or infection.
