Women across Egypt are showing off their curly hair after years of straightening it to fit in with societal pressures.

Many women in Egypt can be forced at a very early age to straighten their hair to fit with what is seen as more European standards of beauty. A social media campaign which encourages women to celebrate their natural hair is growing momentum in the Middle East.

Yosr Abdel Bary from The Hair Addict said: "Natural hair is beautiful and is something to be proud of and to embrace."
