Salah up there with Messi and Ronaldo – Savage

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is comparable to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on current form, according to Robbie Savage.

The Egypt forward scored his 42nd and 43rd goals of a remarkable debut season at Anfield in the Reds’ 5-2 Champions League semi-final first leg victory against Roma.

Former Wales midfielder Savage compared the 25-year-old’s form to that of Messi and Ronaldo, acknowledged as two of the game’s leading current players.

β€œHis impact on games in one of the toughest leagues in the world and now in the Champions League – you’ve got to say, on current form he’s certainly up there with those two,” he said.
