Trans-poosions to rebuild a healthy microbiome
Faecal transplants for recurrent C. Difficile bacterial infections are the poster child for microbial medicine - using bugs as drugs to restore an infected gut. Clinical trials are showing a success rate of 90%. Janet Jansson of the Pacific Northwest National Lab was the first to demonstrate this technique.
