West Ham have lost their identity - Redknapp
Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp discusses the situation at the club, and says: “In the long term, people have got carried away with the expectations a little bit.â€
Redknapp, who also played for the Hammers, adds: “You look at the team now, and I’ll be honest with you, I struggle to even name half the players. I really do. There’s no real… The team’s changed so much, and every year we seem to get different players come and go.â€
Speaking to Jacqui Oatley on 5 live Sport, Redknapp also referenced the fan unrest at London Stadium, saying: “Time moves on. It was time for a change. They’ve got a new stadium, and West Ham are a big club, whatever people may say.
“They’ve been a great club for many, many years, and they are drawing 60,000 people every week.â€
