Looking at the future of documentary photography
The documentary photographer Susan Meiselas' work is being celebrated in a retrospective at the Jeu de Paume gallery in France. With a career which spans over 40 years, there is a lot of work to choose from, from the Sandinista Popular Revolution in Nicaragua in the 1970s, to her most recent works on domestic violence. She manages to get extraordinary access to people, stories and places, but now so many of us document life through our mobile phones, what is the future for documentary photography?
