Labour: The Irish would welcome our plan
The Shadow Trade Secretary believes that the Irish prime minister would welcome Labour's decision to stay in a customs union with the EU.
Barry Gardiner was speaking before Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn's speech later today.
The speech will explain that Labour believe it is best to commit the UK to remain inside a common tariff area post-Brexit.
