Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Minute: On giving teachers guns

In the wake of a high school shooting in Florida, US President Trump has suggested arming teachers.

In the United States survivors and families of victims of school shootings have gathered in the White House for a 'listening session' with President Trump. They spoke directly to the President, discussing their anger and anguish in the wake of the high school shooting in Florida.

President Trump sat and listened for an hour. He then promised to tighten background checks on people buying weapons. He also suggested that arming teachers with a concealed weapon could help prevent future attacks.

His suggestion has been met by mixed reaction and he's taken to social media to defend his comments. He has said he wants to look into the possibility of giving 'concealed guns to gun adept teachers with military or special training experience'.
