Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Minute: On #BoycottPeterRabbit

Children's film Peter Rabbit, which stars James Corden, raked in $25 million in its opening weekend in the US but it is making headlines for other reasons. Some parents are claiming that a controversial scene in the film promotes 'food bullying'. Many are now calling for others to boycott the film.

The scene in question sees a character, with a berry allergy, pelted with the fruit by a gang of bunnies. Some people claim it makes a joke out of food allergies. Sony Pictures and the filmmakers have released a statement apologising for the scene, saying they 'should not have made light' of the issue. However, others disagree with the idea of a boycott and believe it actually raises awareness around the issue of allergies.
