Theresa May: Some women don't want to put their head above the parapet
Does Prime Minister Theresa May think public life is under threat from bullying, intimidation and abuse?
She told Woman's Hour that "sadly" it seemed an "aggressive attitude" in politics, and bullying and harassment on social media, were preventing women in particular from putting themselves forward as candidates or campaigners.
"I think [this] is leading to some women feeling that they don't want to put their head above the parapet, they don't want to take part in public life."
