Blogging to beat cancer bereavement

Rochelle Bugg started her blog after she lost her dad to pancreatic cancer when she was 14, followed by her mum who died of cancerous brain tumour by the time she was 26.

Rochelle became the sole carer for her two sisters, one of whom was a teenager in school:

β€œI just thought I can't cope. Emotionally and financially,” said the 31-year-old.

According to the most recent estimated figures by the Childhood Bereavement Network 23,600 parents in the UK
died leaving dependent children.

β€œAfter losing my dad, then my mum I really struggled.”

Rochelle hopes by sharing her story, it will help other young people see they are not alone.
