What are the meat-free alternatives we're choosing?
Meat-free is a big thing. Market researchers Mintel say that one in four of us are eating less meat, one in seven are thinking about cutting down in the future. People give up meat for health or conscience reasons even though they really like it and it’s creating a growing market for mock-meat or meat substitutes. Veggie sausages have been around for ages but now there’s much more choice on offer, as Melanie Abbott finds out, starting by talking to vegetarian chef Daniel Acevedo.
