'Any time I made a mistake I was tortured'
James Kofi Annan grew up in a small village in Winneba, Ghana before being sold to the fishing industry. From the age of six he worked for 15 masters and was tortured if he made any mistakes.
According to the UN, an estimated 40.3 million people were victims of modern slavery last year.
James is one such victim.
