Bradley Lowery was posthumously awarded The Helen Rollason award at Sports Personality of the Year 2017.
His mum Gemma spoke about her son's special relationship with Jermain Defoe.
Gemma said: βWe still speak on a daily basis. He didnβt do it for an award or recognition. They had a genuine connection."
