Are female boxers more prone to concussion?
Dr Michael Turner has called for more research into the risks female boxers face in the ring.
Turner, who is from the International Concussion and Head Injury Research Foundation (ICHIRF), says other sports have shown women have a higher rate of concussion than men, but it is not really understood why.
"If you look at women's soccer, the concussion rates are nearly 2:1. Very little research has been done in this area and certainly none in the UK," Turner added.
