Pastor Daniel Habtey’s perilous journey to freedom
Daniel Habtey faced desert treks, prison and a journey packed on a boat to reach the UK now he helps other refugees in the north of England.
He tells Caz Graham about his early life as an orphan in Eritrea and how he found his faith which then sustained him through some the dangerous journey from Africa to the town of Huddersfield in northern England.
He is now a pastor and Caz meets him to talk about his faith and the faith of some of the people in his church including fellow refugees.
