What happens when The Thames freezes over?
It hasn’t happened since the winter of 1813-14 but before that it wasn’t an uncommon occurrence. Dr Eleanor Rosamund Barraclough transports us back to a world of frost fairs and unusual animal sightings.
The music featured in this clip is Mozart’s Oboe trio Op. 67 and James Oswald’s airs for the seasons (Hawthorn)
